Celebrating one year

Into Essence Coaching is celebrating one year!

Happy Birthday to me:)

It has been quite a fun year. The people I  met, the conversations I had and the shifts that we saw.

I had started thinking I would be doing just business coaching but quickly expanded to working with on time management, feeling happier and more joyful in their life. I saw people feel more energized and refreshed after sessions. I saw people feel lighter and brighter. I saw people happy in their life.

What a joy it is to be witness that!

What are you celebrating from the past year?

Celebration

From vacation to reality

When on vacation, how do you view life?

How do you view your day to day life?

As the complete coconut or the one that has all the coconut water and sweet coconut meat to enjoy? (please excuse the quality of the pictures-there was a camera incident at the beach;)

If we look at the whole coconut, what do you see? Do you know the benefits and the joys you will get by breaking into it?

Ever think if we always viewed life from vacation mode or as the open coconut, how much more fun we would have?

You could constantly be on an adventure, exploring and creating magical experiences.

What adventure do you want to create for yourself today, this week and even in this month? Yes in your day to day life:)

Take a deep breath and call in the energy of vacation mode. How does it feel?

It can be that easy to enjoy life to the fullest, to have fun and laugh.

What is one thing you can do in your day to day that you would do on vacation mode?

Feel free to post on the Facebook page:)

Love in the purest form

In the celebration of love today, I decided to share my experience of pure, unconditional love I experienced with Amma-the hugging saint.

At a young age, Amma realized her life purpose was to show people the unconditional, pure love that we receive from God, Universe or however you may refer to a higher being.

I recently had the opportunity to visit her for the second time at her home in Amritapuri. Both visits, I have been fortunate to receive a hug of love from her.

After my hug this time, I felt an abundance of joy, love, and freedom where my heart was shining wide open.

I realized I had felt this love inside myself for a longtime, it was waiting for me to recognize it fully to really allow it to be all it is.

When have you felt so much love, joy and freedom in your life? Are you ready to feel it on a day to day basis?

Having been working deep within myself both alone and with a coach for the last while, I realized it was the love that I was preparing myself.

Shall we take a leap towards love together through one of ways that we can play together?

In this post, I am promoting strictly my own spiritual experience and not a religion, saint, deity or anything of the sorts.

Smiles

One of the challenges here at the resort is English is not the first language of the staff and the guests. Every time I come to the resort, I am reminded of how communication is done through smiles and body language just as much as it is does through words.

Each day, my therapists greet me with the biggest smiles and a slight touch on the elbow. In this expression, I know they care about me as a person. I feel connected to them in our one word dialogue as we try to get to know each other.

I am truly connected to everyone and everything.

A smile goes a long way. Here’s me smiling at you.

Passion at Aswasa Bhavan Orphanage and School

My trip to India has really been showing me how someone living in passion moves mountains and changes lives.

Today’s trip was to Aswasa Bhavan Orphanage and School.

I was so fortunate to meet with the man and women behind the organization – Joseph Mathew and Aneena J. Mathew. Joseph had a story of awakening like some people do who live their life purpose. The realization of his life purpose came to him when the doctor’s told he was going to die. The one thing he did say was he wished there was an easier way he knew his life purpose instead of being on his deathbed. I chuckled to myself of that’s why coaches exist so people can find their life purpose in an easy way.

The couple had such a passion for helping the kids, whose parents were in jail. The government provides the names of the kids but does not provide funding. The couple has 45 kids who live in the orphanage while their parents serve life sentences (usually 12-14 years). The purpose of the organization is provide support so the children can get an education in order to have a better life. The couple has been helping kids through education for 25 years.

Last year they opened a school for the local children where no fees are collected. My friend and I met with 150 kids today who are learning the basics of education as well as life skills. The philosophy of the school is to have the kids be well-rounded so they can sustain their own lives.

I, personally connected with one of the boys who was three years old. We didn’t speak each other’s language but we bonded over laughing and making faces. I was told that later that he has been living at the orphanage for a few years and probably will never know his parents. It saddens me how each of us have a choice to make of what our live looks like but when we make a choice from our head instead of our heart, we may affect the lives of others.

I feel so uplifted and motivated to live my purpose. I am grateful that my awakening was smooth and the transition is easy. I wish that for everyone.

Stones into Schools

I have just finished reading “Stones into Schools” by Greg Mortenson and it got me engaged on the topic of living our life’s purpose.

Greg Mortenson follows his calling and his life purpose’s of building schools in order to promote education as a way to bring peace and calm to the areas of Pakistan and Afghanistan. He purposely builds schools in remote areas that do not have that infrastructure.

Every time I am reminded that there are places without schools, it is astonishing to me. In my view it is a basic right that we have but I was reminded that yes this is the case. How I have taken education for granted. It got me thinking about what else I take care for granted? Unfortunately, I came up with a few things. I reminded myself to start working on my gratitude journal where I would list 3 things every day that I am grateful for.

Greg also realized he was taking a few things for granted and he decided to seize the opportunity. He felt compelled to work with the remote communities to support them in building infrastructure for their future generations.

It is always important to be aware of the opportunities presented to us and seize those opportunities. What do you feel that your calling is? How can you contribute to your community?

These are important questions that we all must ask ourselves in order to be truly fulfilled.

Whispers

They are here to earn money to set a foundation for their future

They work long hours, seven days a week

They are the lifeblood of the business

They talk in whispers so no one hears them

They walk silently to be unseen

They smile and nod through every circumstance

Who cares for them when at 18 they are homesick

Who sees that they are happy

Who sees that they are living the life they dreamed

We have a choice

We live in a society where we can live the life we dreamed

We work to have balance of work and life

Yet we are unhappy and dissatisfied

What gives us the right when we have all the rights in the world

Four Weeks to a new relationship

On a day-to-day basis we encounter four things-ourselves, females, males and money. There are few other things we encounter but most of everything can be categorized under these four.

A quick exercise: Take a deep breath and ask yourself the following questions:

On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the highest and 1 being the lowest, How much is your relationship with yourself? The number will indicate how much is your relationship with yourself to the best it can be.

How is your relationship with females?

How is your relationship with males?

How is your relationship with money?

Now ask yourself are you happy with these numbers and how things are?

Take a moment and imagine what it would mean to take one of these areas and have an improved relationship?

What does that look like for you?

Ask yourself what do I need to do to have that improved relationship?

The 4-week Embrace Yourself program offers support and recognition of our shadow areas in these relationships. This one-to-one program offers 4 topic areas over four weeks where we concentrate our session on moving to a new level in these 4 areas.
